Will my piece look exactly like the photograph?

No — and that's the point. Damascus steel is forged by folding, and no two pieces ever come out with the same pattern. Yours will be recognisably the same design, in the same material, with a pattern that belongs only to it.

How do I find my ring size?

We make rings from US 6 to US 13, including half sizes. If you already know your US size, use it. If you don't, the most reliable method is to have a jeweller measure you — it takes a minute and most will do it free. Printable paper sizers are available online but tend to read small.

If you're between sizes, take the smaller one.

If you're unsure, message us before you order and we'll talk you through it. And if it still doesn't fit when it arrives, we'll remake it — see below.

What if my ring doesn't fit?

We'll make you a new one in the right size, free. One exchange per item, within 30 days, on unworn and unengraved pieces — you cover the postage back to us, we cover the rest.

You're buying a ring you can't try on. That risk should sit with us, not with you.

What width should I choose?

Most of our rings come in widths from 3mm to 9mm, and the width changes the feel more than people expect.

As a rough guide: 3–5mm reads as fine and is easy to wear alongside another ring; 6–7mm is the most common choice for a men's wedding band; 8–9mm is a deliberate statement and sits heavier on the hand. If you already wear a ring, measure that one.

A wider band also fits slightly tighter than a narrow one in the same size. If you're going above 8mm and you're between sizes, take the larger.

How do I size a cuff bracelet?

The 6.5in and 7.3in lengths are the band itself, not the full circumference. The opening at the back adds roughly another 1.5 to 2 inches.

So measure your wrist and choose the length closest below it. Most of our cuffs flex, so you can open or close the gap by hand for a closer fit once it's on.

Beaded bracelets are sized differently — by the number of beads rather than by length. For those, choose the size closest above your wrist measurement; a beaded bracelet should sit loose rather than tight.

Is engraving really free?

Yes. Laser engraved inside the band, on every piece that offers it. No extra charge, no upgrade.

Where does the engraving go?

Inside only. We don't engrave the outside of a piece — the pattern in the metal is what you bought it for, and cutting into it would spoil the thing that makes it yours.

How much can I engrave?

Up to 80 characters inside a ring, 125 inside a bracelet. The character counter at checkout will tell you when you're near the limit.

Can I engrave a piece that's in stock?

No — and it's worth knowing why. In-stock pieces ship from our US warehouse within a day. Engraving is done in our UK workshop, so an engraved piece is made to order and takes about two weeks wherever it's going.

If you want it engraved, order it and allow the two weeks. If you need it before a date, order it plain.

Will Damascus steel rust?

Damascus is a high-carbon steel, so it can mark if left wet. Dry it after washing and it will last decades. Your piece arrives lightly oiled for transit — wipe that off before first wear.

Titanium, Timascus, Zircuti and Damasteel don't corrode at all.

Will it irritate my skin?

Titanium is hypoallergenic and nickel-free — it's used in surgical implants. If silver or steel has bothered you before, titanium almost certainly won't.

What is Timascus? What is Zircuti?

Titanium and zirconium forged together in layers, then heat-treated. The heat raises an oxide on the surface that bends light into blues, violets and bronzes. There's no dye and no plating — the colour is the metal, so it can't chip or wear off.

Don't polish them with anything abrasive; that removes the oxide layer and the colour with it.

Do I pay import duties?

No. Orders to US addresses are dispatched within the United States and orders to UK addresses are dispatched within the United Kingdom, so nothing crosses a border on its way to you. There's nothing to pay at the door.

Can I cancel or change my order?

If it hasn't gone into production yet, yes — email us quickly. Once a piece is being forged or engraved we usually can't stop it.

Do you take custom commissions?

Often, yes. Email us with what you have in mind and we'll tell you honestly whether we can make it and what it would cost.

How do I look after it?

Wipe with a dry cloth. Take metal off before swimming, the gym, or anything involving harsh chemicals. Wooden rings and wood-cored bracelets should never be soaked — remove before washing up or showering, and re-oil once a year.
